Why Bio-Bottle?

All of our Bio-Bottle and Bio-freeze products help you meet IATA Packing Instruction 620 requirements. Our kits are all UN-rated to a 4GU standard, where the “U” means they are special packaging that is rated to the highest standards in the industry!

Our whole line of products is engineered for UN2814 and UN2900 -- Class 6.2, Category A, but since they’re so easy to use, many customers feel they’re also the best packaging available to ship UN3373, Biological substance, Category B.

In addition to shipping infectious substances, the innovative Bio-freeze line is frequently used in the food industry to ship non-dangerous goods at super-sub-zero temperatures without the need for Dry Ice! How cool is that!?

Working in an industry that all too often produces non-stop waste, you can feel good because all Bio-Bottles are environmentally friendly and made of 100% recyclable material.

Technical Details:

Every bottle meets a 95 kPa rating and they can all be sealed without the need for extra tools or pressure bags.

Each kit comes with everything you need to prepare your package. You just need your primary receptacle containing your infectious substance and itemized list of contents, then we’ll supply the leakproof secondary packaging, absorbent material, and rigid outer packaging. We’ll even include TDG labels and some extra cushioning material (which is great if you’re shipping multiple vials).

Bio-Freeze, Ultra-Freeze, & Below-Zero:

Bio-Freeze and Ultra-Freeze products use patent pending Blue-Ice and Purple-Ice phase change technology so you can send your temperature-sensitive specimen without the need for Dry Ice.

All kits are combination packages acceptable for the shipment of super-cool infectious specimens and biological substances (all risk groups), however, since no Dry Ice is required, these are also incredibly cost-effective when sending temperature-sensitive non-hazardous cargo too!

(If you do want to use Dry Ice, please check out our Below-Zero packaging at the bottom of this section.)

Bio-Freeze

Without any need for Dry Ice, Bio-Freeze uses patent pending Blue-Ice phase change technology incorporated directly into the wall of the bottle. Just place your primary receptacle inside the Blue Bio-Freeze bottle (which acts as a secondary packaging) and this is the quickest and easiest way to send your temperature-sensitive specimen.
